I recently had an interesting conversation with a former Milb pitcher.
He’s looking to make a comeback and started training with us, and we discussed his background and what’s led up to this point.
He said that getting released in his view “made no sense”, and the reason as far as he could tell, was “the organization didn’t like me”
That was the reason? They didn’t “like you”? Or was it his performance, because according to Baseball Reference he had a 9.38 ERA over 2 seasons of low A ball, with a 91 avg FB velo-far off what’s needed to be effective in minor league ball, let alone MLB
If you’re complaining about why you’re not on varsity, why you’re not committed, why you’re not being promoted, why you got released:
You have to DOMINATE your CURRENT level to be promoted to the NEXT!!
Many athletes have POTENTIAL to be great but they’re stuck because of their thinking
They’re consumed with self pity and thinking it’s “political” or “unfair”-instead of focusing on what they can control: their own growth process to BECOMING UNDENIABLE!!
