That’s because max velocity sprinting is 5-6x ground reaction forces, 6-7x musculoskeletal forces, and as the highest neurological demand, makes use of motor units that would not be accessible by any other means
In other words, if alactic speed work isn’t a key component of your program, you’ll never develop to what you’re capable of
The human body can manifest force in many ways beyond the barbell; true speed work is a must for any athlete!
